1.Can also be known as Data Leakage Prevention describes the controls put in place by an organization to ensure that certain types of data (SSN,Account no etc) remain under organization controls in line with policies,standards and procedures.

2.Detects exfiltration of certain types of key data (SSN,Account no etc).

3.Help ensure compliance with regulations like HIPAA,PCI-DSS and others.

Trusted Platform Model (TPM) Chips

1. A trusted platform models is a chip on a host device which stores RSA encryption keys specific to that host for hardware authentication.

2.The purpose of the TPM is to provide whole Drive Encryption, in the event that a hard drive is removed from it's host.
