1. A configuration mode utilized when updating or configuring different components of the cloud environment.
2.Vendor specific guidelines for entering,operating in and exiting maintenance mode.
3.Should be documented in SLA.
4.While in maintenance mode,customer access is blocked and alerts are disabled.Logging is still enabled.
5.Hosted VMs and data should be migrated prior to entering maintenance mode if they require availability through the maintenance period.
